Berachah Missions Conference Brochure (.pdf)
Purpose of
Berachah Bible Church:
The purpose of the organization shall be the teaching of the Word
of God; the administration of the ordinances of the New Testament
Church,
baptism and the Lord’s Supper; the spiritual improvement
of its members; and the spread of the Gospel in all the earth.
Definition and Purpose of World Missions
World Missions shall be defined as any ministry aimed outside the continental
United States or a cross-cultural ministry within the United States,
the purpose of which is to fulfill the great commission by proclaiming
the gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelism, discipleship, church
planting, church development, support, and training/equipping of
Christian Leadership. (Matthew 28:19-20; Luke 10:2; Matthew 25:31-46;
John 3:16)
Hence, missions means sending
and sent ones. Therefore, missions implies a message, messengers,
sending agency, accountability
and relationship.
The relationship of the messenger to the sending body and the relationship
of the sending body to the messenger are equally important.
At its core World Missions is
simply the local church duplicating itself around the world. We believe
that it is the local church that
equips its people for the work of the ministry: proclaiming and living
the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is not to exclude everything
outside of the immediate realm of church planting, which itself is
the benefit of a long process of sowing and reaping. There are many
works that foster a context in which church planting and church duplicating
can take place; things such as evangelism, translation, and leadership
training are key pieces of the greater objective of seeing the Lord
exalted in a strong local church.
Currently we support missionaries
in a variety of fields and works ranging from evangelism and church
planting to translation, missionary
care, and aviation. For information regarding how we support our
missionaries please see our Grace
Promise section.
